Strange Highways

To get in the Halloween spirit, we decided to do a live version of our show but instead of talking about the Twilight Zone, we put together a radio play about two brothers going on a ghost hunt. We hope you enjoy it. Thanks again to everyone that made it possible. Now, let's go get ghosty...

This week Kevin and Paul head back to 1890 to meet Mr. Woodrow Mulligan, a man who believes that where and when he lives is just too busy, loud, expensive, and rude. When given the opportunity to put on a time helmet, he decides to see if the future is any better...

This week Kevin and Paul meet Mr. Alan Richards, a very serious man who doesn't believe in superstition or faith and who has recently just come back from a business trip in Africa. He is going forward with his dam plan no matter what gets in his way, even the dead goat in his hallway...

This week Kevin and Paul head back to the Civil War and meet Sgt. Joseph Paradine, a Confederate soldier tasked with scouting out the valley below for any signs of Union activity. What he finds could end up being a means to win the war, but at a high cost...

This week Kevin and Paul grab some glasses of warm grapefruit juice and meet Norma and Mrs. Bronson, the last two people in their apartment building. It is just a matter of days before the Earth completely falls into the Sun and it is getting hotter by the minute. Norma and Mrs. Bronson try to stay sane and civil as their world burns up around them...

This week Kevin and Paul are forced to meet Mr. Gunther Lutze, a former SS Captain and still current Nazi, who has returned to the Dachau concentration camp to relive some past glories. Little does he know that the past has been waiting for him to return as well... 

This week Kevin, Paul, and special guest Steve King of the Saturday Night Slasher and Invasion of the Podcast, head to Peaksville, Ohio, where they meet Anthony Fremont, a monster in the form of a young boy. Anthony can do and make anything he wants, and he wants you to think happy thoughts or else you may end up in the cornfield... 

This week Kevin and Paul head back to the old west to pick up a bottle of Rye and Kevin's favorite plate and meet Mr. Conny Miller, a man hired by the townspeople to hunt down and kill the outlaw Pinto Sykes. Conny has just found out that the locals did the job for him and they are not so subtly saying that they believe Conny was too much of a coward to face Sykes while he was alive...

The week Kevin and Paul head to South America and meet Mr. Ramos Clemente, a man who has just successfully overthrown the oppressive leader of his country with the aide of four of his closest friends and allies. The victory is short lived when Ramos learns that he inherits a mirror that shows him the faces of those that will betray him...

The week Kevin and Paul head on over to a pool hall on Randolph Street to meet Mr. Jesse Cardiff, a man that believes he is the best billards player alive. He can't seem to escape the shadow of 'Fats' Brown, the best billards player that ever lived. Jesse would give anything to play Fats just once...

This week Kevin and Paul head on down the road and meet Mrs. Lavina Godwin, a Civil War widow who sits on the porch of her destroyed home and watches the walking wounded returning from the battlefield. There is something odd about these men and how they are compelled to just keep moving forward as if they are drawn to something... 

This week Kevin and Paul attend the surprise birthday party for Mr. Larry Gates, a well respected doctor that is always thinking ahead, thrown by his very friendly and close knit neighbors. Everything is peachy keen until the radio announces the threat of unknown objects seen in the skies above...

This week Kevin and Paul, being sober and reliable, head out west to meet Mr. Grant Sheckly, a flight investigator brought in to solve an unusual case; a plane that has landed safely with no crew or passengers on it...

This week we start off Season 3 of the Twilight Zone joined by friend of the show, El Goro of the Talk Without Rhythm Podcast, as we take a look at episode one, titled 'Two'. We meet a man and a woman on opposing sides of a conflict that has devastated the world. Will the color of their uniforms keep them from finding a common ground? 

This week we take another detour and head back to 1977 to watch the Don Siegel film, Telefon. A Russian records keeper has fled the country with a top secret document that allows him to locate and activate deep cover sleeper agents in the United States. The Russian government, not wanting to let the US know about the 50+ seeded agents they have stateside, reaches out to the one man who can track down this rogue agent, Major Grigori Borzov aka Charles Bronson. His accent may not be strong but his results are. 

This week we take a look at 1981's The Monster Club, a weird little anthology hybrid horror/comedy/rock and roll show that stars Vincent Price, John Carradine, and Donald Pleasence. We learn what a Shadmock is, to beware of men with violin cases, and whatever the hell a Humgoo is. Monsters rule, Ok?

This week Kevin and Paul take a look at the 1994 made for TV special Rod Serling's Lost Classics. Hosted by James Earl Jones, it presents two stories previously unpublished stories that Carol, Rod's wife, found in a trunk in their attic. The first tale, The Theater, is about a lady who ends up seeing parts of her past, and possible future, play out in front of her on a movie theater screen. The second tale, Where the Dead Are, is about a doctor in 1868 who views death as an opponent to be defeated and after an emergency surgery on a man that should have been dead years before, the doctor heads to a mysterious island where death isn't the worst thing that can happen. 

This week Kevin and Paul take a slight detour into the 1980's anthology series, Amazing Stories. First up is Ghost Train, directed by Steven Speilberg, which is about a grandfather that is convinced a train he missed as a child is coming back to pick him up. And the second one is Mummy Daddy, a story about an actor that is stuck in a mummy costume who is trying to get to the hospital in time for the bith of his child.
