Depression, Anxiety, Parenting, NLP & Hypnotherapy Practice with Craig Meriwether - S7 E58
26/03/2025 Duração: 49minDepression, Anxiety, Parenting, NLP & Hypnotherapy Practice with Craig Meriwether - S7 E58Starting when I was a teenager I struggled for many years with depression and anxiety. It was with the birth of my son that I found the resolve to heal. My mother struggled with depression as did I and whether it was nurture or nature I want to make sure I would be able to help my son if he fell into the dark hole of depression. I found healing by learning to take back control of my subconscious mind and nervous system through hypnotherapy and NLP techniques. After learning so much I trained to become a clinical hypnotherapist myself. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Medical Hypnosis Specialist, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) specialist, and Founder of Arizona Integrative Hypnotherapy helping people eliminate the negative emotions and limiting beliefs that may be keeping them from reaching their full potential. For over 12 years I've been helping people heal from early childhood trauma, helping canc

Parenting 2, Nutrition for Pregnancy and Beyond through Vital Earth Minerals with Kortney Leany - S7 E56
05/03/2025 Duração: 38min-Mother of two. Both born in a hospital using anesthesia and post care medications.-I was never taught about how important pre- and post-natal care is during my parenting journey (aside from "walk as much as you can" and "take prenatal pills every day") and thought that physical activity was the most important aspect. -I've since learned that nutrition should be a fundamental aspect to everyone's journey whether they're a parent or not and to also be made aware that hospitals and doctors might not properly inform you on vital information that could save some women from a lot of negative side effects both long-term and short-term.-I also want to give hope to moms with older children that it's never too late to take you and your children's health into your own hands and give simple solutions to very busy people to be able to live healthier, more fulfilled lives.I've owned my own personal training gym as well as a small spa and now I do marketing for Vital Earth Minerals while still doing fitness consulting on t

Birth Doula who works in Black Maternal Health through LEAD with Jennifer McLean - S7 E55
05/02/2025 Duração: 41min- I am not a parent, but I am a DONA International certified Birth Doula working in North Carolina - I did not learn about what a doula was until the age of 26 years old in graduate school. Once I learned about the field, it instantly clicked for me. I've always been fascinated with birth but never wanted to be a nurse or doctor. - I had some fears around becoming a labor support doula and not having gone through childbirth but my training reassured me that I was able to do the job - I learned of the Alliance of Black Doulas for Black Mamas (which was rebranded to LEADDoula) through an email listserv that a friend sent me, because she knew I wanted to be doula - ABDBM or LEAD was strictly for Black women who wanted to become doulas, and was focused on serving black birthing people and their families - It was a 6 week program with culturally tailored education, included all required DONA International training to become certified, and afterwards, we were required to serve as doula for at least 3 births t

8 Years of Infertility to Coaching, A Podcast, & Best Selling Book - Fertile Ground with Spenser Brassard - S7 E53
22/01/2025 Duração: 36minIt took me 8 years to get pregnant. I went through loss, IVF, many (MANY!) diet changes, holistic modalities -- and nothing was working. I decided to become a Life Coach so that I could stop suffering through the uncertainty of it all. In my certification, I learned mind-body tools that helped me to eventually get pregnant naturally -- and now I teach women all around the world to do the same. I also wrote a new best selling book called: Fertile Ground, that I'd love to promote on your podcast. It teaches women the mind-body approach to getting pregnant -- without it taking over their lives. I believe that the trying to conceive journey can be incredible parenting prep. It taught me the tools I needed to handle the uncertainty of conception, pregnancy, labor, and motherhood. To let go of perfectionism and to trust myself. It was a catalyst to step out of "what I was supposed to do" and into what made me feel at peace -- even if it was different from the norm. I am a life and fertility coach.

Speech Therapist, Becoming A Parent, Reiki, & Conscious Parenting Podcast with Carrie Lingenfelter - S7 E52
15/01/2025 Duração: 29minI was previously an educator and early child interventionist speech therapist but was brought to my knees when I became a parent I tried to fit into the box of what parenting should be like but realized that I needed to follow my own heart and gut feelings as well as my child's cues about sleep schedule, nursing times, and other parenting pieces right from the start of becoming a parent I learned to throw out the parenting books which really made me so nervous about labor and delivery- but it wasn't until after I had my first baby. Luckily, I grew so much in that first experience that I was in such a different place with my second baby. I got to have a mother's blessing before having my second baby and even though she came a month early and was in the NICU for a couple of days, we had such a better experience because we were all connected with ourselves and with each other, including the connection between my husband and myself I love sharing these pieces with the listeners of my podcast and other podcasts so

Postpartum Depression and Feeling Blindsided with Overwhelm in Postpartum with Marissa Zwetow S7 E39
16/10/2024 Duração: 36minI was blindsided with the overwhelm and lack of enjoyment when I became a mother. I had heard about postpartum depression, but didn’t hear anyone really be candid about how hard it is or unenjoyable outside of a mental health or postpartum depression context, which understandably would be scary and vulnerable to share. I knew that the validation I so desperately sought out was missing in postpartum conversations and I had to give voice to what I went through and help another person on a similar journey through my private therapy and coaching practice as a licensed therapist and by writing a book about my postpartum journey and research. https://a.co/d/0WzBJet Get your free copy of 12 taboo postpartum truths: What you may need to know, but probably haven't been told - https://www.postpartumhappiness.com/free-postpartum-article I'm a licensed mental health therapist and coach specializing in supporting new moms in private practice FIND HER HERE: www.postpartumhappiness.com https://www.facebook.com/postpartumhap
