Martin died in a car wreck in 1996, and each year his 1993 classmates and more gather in Columbia to raise money for a needs-based scholarship at The Citadel.

    Junior pitcher Wes Wrenn is named SoCon Pitcher of the Week. The High Point, N.C., native pitched a no-hitter into the seventh inning in a 9-1 Citadel win over Davidson on Saturday. Wrenn and his teammates swept the Wildcats in weekend action, and moved into second place in the conference standings. However, mid-week losses on the road to UNCW and East Carolina have put Fred Jordan's team in another tough spot.
