The Clemson Tigers roll into the bye week at the mid-point of the regular season coming off a 63-3 finessing of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday. The 6-0 Tigers are showing improvement but still have a long way to go on their march towards a 4th straight playoff birth and possible rematch against the Crimson Tide. Clemson's scholarship QB depth chart is down to two as Kelly Bryant announced Wednesday morning that he intends to exercise his option for a redshirt year and transfer to another school for the 2019 season. We react to the news and forecast what this means for the Tiger football team moving forward.

The Clemson Tigers sent the Ramblin’ Wreck to the junkyard on Saturday in Atlanta en route to a 49-21 victory over Georgia Tech. Brent Venables and the defense dominated Paul Johnson’s triple option for a 4th year in a row but the real storyline is what took place in the QB battle. After a sluggish start on offense Trevor Lawrence replaced starter Kelly Bryant and led the offense to 4 touchdowns over the next 5 drives, totaling 5 TD drives on the day. In doing so he may have done enough to assume the starting role and bring closure to a competition that has persisted since he stepped foot on campus nearly 10 months ago. In this ep we recap the game and give our thoughts on what could be the beginning of the Trevor Lawrence era at Clemson and how the rest of the ACC is bowing down to usher him in. After a sluggish start by the offense on Saturday the Tigers came to life in the 2nd quarter on their way to a 38-7 victory over Georgia Southern. Overcoming early miscues and a game ending injury to Kelly Bryant, the offense did all of their scoring over the final 3 quarters and the defense held the option-running Eagles to 1.9 yds/car en route to the win. The 3-0 Tigers now turn their attention to yet another option team in Georgia Tech in what may very well be Paul Johnson’s last hurrah. Enjoy the show and Go Tigers!!!

The #2 Clemson Tigers narrowly escaped College Station with a 28-26 win over Texas A&M on Saturday night in what may turn out to be their toughest test of the regular season. The team is now left with more questions than answers as they head into their week three game against Georgia Southern this weekend, though without reason for panic with a long season ahead. In doing so the team will return with what is shaping up to be the most dominating defense of the Swinney/Venables era and quite possibly the best defensive line the sport has ever seen.
