Progression or Regression - The Making of a Slave....... Last week we introduced The Willie Lynch document of 1712, a letter written to introduce to slave owners a method of solving their problems with their slaves. Butterfly Evolution was created based upon Galatians 2:20 with focus on dying to live.  It is important that we commit to dying almost daily in order to continually move forward but more importantly one must be willing to recognize and admit that there are and always will be areas in our life that are in need of change.  This is by far one of the most difficult things for some individuals to admit; maybe because some view this acknowledgment as an area of failure or weakness and let’s face it no one wants to feel like a failure or be seen or perceived as a weak individual.  However, admitting or being able to recognize the areas or things in your life that are in need of CHANGE is exceptionally powerful. A New Year’s Resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to one or more personal goals, projects or the reforming of a habit.  Studies show that an estimated 55% of population begins the New Year with a New Year’s Resolution.  This means, chances are that you are a part of this population or know someone that is… Of this 55% that commit to a change only an estimated 12% of them actually achieve their goal.  What does this really mean and why is it that the majority of the population continues to set New Year’s resolutions year after year with no true success?    Tune in to learn of ways to reach your goals for 2012 and to learn the importance of self awareness in setting and reaching these goals.  Don't start 2013 with 2012 resolutions.....

TEMPTED vs. TESTED - There is a huge disconnect or state of confusion as it relates God Testing and/or Tempting us vs. God allowing us to be Tested and/or Tempted.  After studying and researching this topic, my personal opinion has not changed.  It is my belief that God does TEST US but DOES NOT TEMPT US.  There are many versions of the Bible and after carefully and extensively preparing and studying for this show, I must say that I am amazed by the number of times these words have been changed and or simply omitted from some of the many Bible Versions.  Understanding the difference in Tested/Tempted and Who, How and Why we are Tested/Tempted is an integral part of our Spiritual Walk.  Prepare to tune in Monday at 8 PM CST.  Dying to Live - What’s holding you back?

Relationship is described as a form of being connected.  It is safe to assume that everyone wants to be or feel connected to someone or something.  The first mention of the word relationship; people instantly think of a love relationship.  While love relationships are important, what is more important is your personal relationship with God.  A relationship with God builds unity and or oneness with the Creator.  This oneness provides strength in times of weakness; joy in times of sorrow; unity or connection in times of loneliness; completion and peace in times of frustration; togetherness in times of brokenness and hope in times of hopelessness.  This is also known as intimacy with the Father. Chasing The Wind – is best described as a task that is meaningless; a person loosing meaning in life; having a void of purpose or virtue or a circular path leading to no particular destination. What would you say to someone trying to catch the wind or move without his or her shadow following? Think of chasing the wind as doing the same thing but expecting different results. We know this as INSANITY.  Think of some of the situations in your life as the WIND!  Don’t take the topic literally as I am sure you are aware that you CAN NOT catch WIND; however, I am not so sure you are aware of the things and people in your life that are as intangible as the WIND.  Are you really happy or is your life full of tears and fears.  Success, fame nor money can replace your strongholds and the things that keep one in bondage. We should recognize this from the many celebrities who have a bundle of wealth and access to most anything in the world but NO PEACE because they choose to use a band-aid to cover up a gun shot wound. 

It is not the experience of today that drives us mad; it is the remorse or bitterness for something which happened yesterday..  There is POWER IN LETTING GO! When you allow your past to hinder your present it is sometimes caused by one of two things: 1.  Remorse or regret over something done by you or 2.  Bitterness or fear caused by something done to you - In other words, either you've been a victim of circumstances or you are experiencing the consequences of your choices.  What ever your reason may be you can not allow either to hinder your future.  Dying to Live....  What’s holding you back?

Toxic Relationships - Some people think it is holding on that makes you strong but sometimes it is the ability to Let Go! Toxic is defined as hazardous, poison and capable of causing injury or death.  Relationship is defined as the way in which two people are connected and/or related.  As I researched this topic, I realized how the word Toxic transforms the meaning of even the most pleasant things in our lives; unfortunately sometimes the things or people that we love the most becomes Toxic to us.  For example:  I love my home but if it was determined that my home is TOXIC, I would make some serious changes to my home or decide to reside in my home in spite of the toxins being hazardous, poison and capable of causing injury or death to me. The word informs us to welcome with open arms fellow believers who don't see things the way we do; to CULTIVATE our own relationship with God but don't impose it on others.  Have you ever found your self:  one day trying to impose your opinion on others, and other days trying to please them?  As you view the following, think about your feelings as it relates to either you or other believeres participating in one or all of the following:  playing cards; dancing; having a beer or two; going to a club.  Where do you draw the line or is there a difference in wanting to Honor and be Obedient to the Word of God vs being judgemental and practicing Legalistic Religion. Something to think about.. "If the way you live isn't consistent with what you believe, then it is wrong" What’s holding you back?

Summing it all up!  What determines if he is a Good Guy or Bad Boy?   What determines if she is a Good Girl or Bad Girl.  Is it really all part of Human Nature to be more attracted to the Bad Boy or Girl or is there more to it?  Such as: how one was loved or not loved as a child; one's spiritual relationship...  Ladies, do we want the bad boy first and then call for the good  guy to clean the mess up later in life?  Are nice guys less attractive and exciting?  Are they to soft or too emotional?  Does age play a part in this?  Where do you fit in?  Are we all drawn to toxic relationships?   What’s holding you back?
