    20/06/2021 Duração: 51min

In this world of constant changes, Jesus never changes. Know peace with that. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. All flesh is grass, the grass withers the flower fades but the Word of our God will stand forever. Prayer should be our focus. Prayer to God is powerful because prayer changes the circumstances around us. Our prayer life should grow as we walk with the Lord. It should not shrink. Only God can equip us for every good work and He will fit us for our journey. Only God is the source of peace. It is a peace that surpasses all understanding. There is no other source. Jesus paid the price in full for all of us and said; “It is finished.”Life changing inspirational truths are referenced and located in this weeks Study Guide.Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. 06/06/2021 Duração: 55min

We all have a race to run, a separate course set before us by Jesus Christ . We are not in a race against each other. We are not in competition with each other. The race has been set before each of us according to our own abilities. Since we are in a race, lets run to win!' Key points to remember are:1. drop the excess baggage2. avoid the snares of sin that will entrap you3. keep your eyes fixed on Jesus4. resist sin (12:4)5. learn to endure the chastening by God since you are now His children6. pursue peace with all people7. pursue Holiness8. deal with your bitterness the right way9. watch out for spiritual complacency10 we need to obey11. embrace grace12. let God be GodChastening is not punishment it is God’s way of correcting our race. • Episode 164: Hebrews 11:30-40 "Faith: Following"

    30/05/2021 Duração: 53min

Part 10 in this faith series. Let us now walk in faith in the same examples that have been demonstrated. Key points to remember:1. Faith follows God’s lead2. Faith follows God’s plan3. Faith follows the example of God’s peopleFaith always follows. Jesus said follow me, not lead ahead of me. Today, what are your prayers, your challenges, your struggles where faith is now required? With God nothing is impossible. A better resurrection is the reward of faith as we run our race on this side of eternity. The world was not worthy of these great followers of faith . Faithfulness to God is what will be measured not worldly wisdom. Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. • Episode 163: Hebrews 11:23-27 Faith: Choosing

    29/05/2021 Duração: 36min

There is always a trade with faith. Faith chooses differently because we see things differently. It may take 30 years to make a 30 second decision. This is spiritual maturity. This is faith demonstrated.1. Unafraid love2. Unattractive life3. Unseen LordFaith is the willingness to hold on to God’s promises and the discipline to keep spiritual eyes open. Remember that every day, we may be the only Jesus that someone will ever see. Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. • Episode 162: Hebrews 11:17-22 "Faith:Tested"

    16/05/2021 Duração: 56min

Our faith in Jesus will be tested. (Luke 22:31-32) Trials, persecutions, rejections, challenges, these are all proving grounds. A proving ground is a controlled environment where something can be tested to prove if it works. The preparation has been performed so now come the test.1. God does not allow the test to come until we are ready.2. The test is designed not to destroy us, but to prove us.How do we endure these inevitable tests? By being convinced of the goodness, the plan and the power of God. Know that everything we will be tested in will be in a God controlled environment. “I will never leave you nor forsake you” Jesus said. You will not be destroyed but you will be tested. (James 1:12 Jeremiah 29:11 and Romans 8:28) We all have stuff but Jesus can carry all of our stuff. He can navigate us through all of our storms. He wants everything that is in our hearts, the good and the bad. His love for us is unconditional and nothing is hidden from Him..Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon t

  • Episode 161: Hebrews 11:13-16 "Faith: Unashamed"

    09/05/2021 Duração: 48min

Fear. Reluctance. This causes a lack of courage to stand up for what is right. What does unashamed look like? What is required? 1. Dying in faith not having received the promises. Are we okay with that? Are we willing to not receive rewards on this end of eternity, in our lifetime? The One who spoke is faithful. His promises will come to pass, but the when is a Divine appointment. This life is not all there is. 2. We need to confess that we are strangers here. This earth is not our home, there is something greater beyond this. We are strangers and pilgrims here. We are citizens of Heaven. 3.. Vertical Vision.Since Heaven is our motivation then let us set our minds on things above. This is honoring God. Blessed is he who is not offended by Jesus. We need to give God the space to be God. Live the challenging call of a faith unashamed, a faith unconditional. We are salt and light, here on mission, but we must be different. Boldly different. May our collective prayer be less of me and more of You.A

  • Episode 160: Hebrews 11:8-12 "Faith Willing"

    02/05/2021 Duração: 48min

Abraham is the father of the faithful and is an example of faith willing. Abraham believed in the Lord and He accounted to him for righteousness. Sarah, his wife, joins the adventure by bearing a child even though she has long passed the age of child bearing. This appointed event occurs to begin the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Is anything to hard for the Lord?Abraham was:1. Willing to go without knowing where2. Willing to go without knowing why3. Willing to believe and trust as he waitsGod said to Abraham; “You have skirted this mountain long enough, turn northward.” Today, our mountain may not be geographical, but it is a place. What is the place that you have spent too much time in that God is calling you out of? It is time to move in faith willing. You were created for good works. We are citizens of Heaven making our way through this earth as we walk with God through faith in Jesus. Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found.

  • Episode 159: Hebrews 11:7 "Faith Working"

    25/04/2021 Duração: 52min

God views time morally. Not by hours, days or years but in seasons. Currently, just as in the days of Noah, God is being pushed out of our culture. The increasing majority of people do not want to talk about Jesus, they do not want His counsel.. Godly fear is disappearing. We are at a crossroads of faith. So was this during the days of Noah. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord and demonstrated how faith works. How? Four key points are:1. Faith2. Fear3. Work4. TestimonyWill Noah hear, believe and obey? Does Noah believe the God who spoke this is faithful? Will Noah live out the parable of the talents, prepare and get to work? Noah chose to have faith, fear God, stepped out in faith and went to work in obedience. Will we hear, believe and obey? Let us all be doers not hearers of the Word. Our obedient Christian walk is a walk of faith, one step at a time.Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. His evidence is all arou

  • Episode 158: Hebrews 11:5-6 "Faith: Walking"

    19/04/2021 Duração: 54min

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The prophet Enoch’s name means dedicated and as he believed, in faith, it changed him. Nobody accidentally walks with God. It has to be intentional. We need to be going the same way, the same pace and with the same faith. We are all prone to wander and need to yoke back up to Jesus.5 key points to remember about Enoch are:His nameHe walked with God for over 300 yearsHe leaves behind a powerful testimonyHe was taken away before he saw deathHe pleases GodEnoch walked with God during the most wickedest time in human history. The remedy for change is to walk with Jesus. To run our God given race with endurance in the short time we have. How to begin? Start! Just start with one little step every day. Walking by faith pleases God. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. What will be said of your faith?Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found.

  • Episode 157: Hebrews 11:4 "Faith Accepted"

    11/04/2021 Duração: 33min

God is the sun, you cannot look at it, but without it, you cannot see anything. Then if God is the sun then faith is our eyes. Three key points in this message are; accepted, approved and audible.1. Don’t give God what you want, give to God what He wants2. First offer your heart, then give to God your sacrifice3. Trust God to work through injusticeHere is the progression. At first we did not care, then we cared, then we wanted to give what was important to us, then we wanted to give what is important to Him. It is the heart not the sacrifice. When God asks a question, He is trying to tell us something.Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. • Episode 156: Hebrews 11:1-3 "Faith Defined"

    05/04/2021 Duração: 51min

Faith defined: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.Substance is the sub floor, our foundation, which is Jesus Christ. Simplified, faith operates in 2 realms. In things hoped for, things coming in the future and in things unseen, things that are invisible. Why should we have faith? Because eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love him. There is more to this life than which we can only see. That is why we walk by faith and not by sight. Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. His evidence is all around us. How is your heart? If you have questions, need someone to talk to or would just like to say hi, contact us.This message can also be heard on the Church website at ccsrv.org and viewed on YouTube.Tune in weekdays at 11:00 am and 11:30 pm to KEPT 96.9 FM for Hydrate Radio. • Episode 155: Hebrews 10:26-39 "What Faith Doesn't Do"

    29/03/2021 Duração: 49min

This week before Easter, Holy Week or Passion Week, is a time of great jubilation and also of great sadness. The people shouted; “Hosanna, Hosanna, save now!” Later they would shout; “Crucify, Crucify!” Rejecting the work of salvation.Jesus gives us 3 charges:1. Enter in by the blood of Jesus2. Hold fast to the hope that we have in Jesus3. Let us consider one anotherWe all will struggle in our obedience to God but when we drift and fall away, we run to Jesus in the spirit of repentance. We all have fallen short of the law because if we are guilty of one then we are guilty of all. We will all fail, so then it is direction not perfection. We are all in desperate need of a Savior and Jesus is the only remedy. Outside of Jesus there is no sacrifice for sin. It is finished.Always remember what Jesus has done in your life and grow in more passion for Him. We need patient endurance to finish our race. How do we do this?1. By remembering the past victories2. By remembering the future promises3. By remembering that Je

  • Episode 154: Hebrews 10:19-25 "Assembly Required"

    21/03/2021 Duração: 51min

This study into the book of Hebrews now moves from doctrinal to practical. Key points of this study are:1. Let us draw near to God2. Let us hold fast to the hope we have3. Let us consider one anotherWe are all sinners in desperate need for a Savior. Let us always draw near to Jesus with a true, real and honest heart. So come now, let us reason together. Though our sins are like scarlet He will make them white as snow. Christ Jesus came into this world to save sinners, of whom I am chief, said Paul. It is time for us with boldness to draw near, each day moving closer than the day before. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Therefore let us not lose hope because He who promised is faithful. The storms of life will come and we may not agree with His timing but He who promised is faithful.Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Seek Him while He can still be found. His evidence is all around us. How is your heart? If you have questions, need someone to ta

  • Episode 153: Hebrews 9:15 - 10:18 "Stumbling stone or Cornerstone?"

    14/03/2021 Duração: 51min

Hebrews is written to the Hebrews so we have to put on a Hebrew mindset of that time in history in order to understand the writer. The Hebrews wanted a sign because Jesus did not fit their expectations. They wanted a conquering king. So Jesus was a stumbling stone in their perspective. They expected another.Jesus’ death was planned through promises, predicted through prophecy and fulfills all of God’s plans and purposes. 1. A testament demands death2. Forgiveness demands blood3. Judgement demands a substituteJesus had to die for our sins to pay the price and complete the gift of eternal life. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. The wages of sin is death. No works, no efforts, no deeds we can do in our life can cover our sins. We are all sinners saved by amazing grace. The testator has to die for the will to be executed and then the assets dispersed to the beneficiaries. Jesus then rises from the dead, defeating death the devil and the grave to then become Executor of the will. No on

  • Episode 152: Hebrews 9:1-15, "Reality or Ritual?"

    07/03/2021 Duração: 52min

We want the reality of a personal relationship with Jesus not hindering old covenant religious rituals that keep us separated. The Tent of Meeting was the reality in the Old Testament where humanity met Divinity. Now, the new has come and rendered the old obsolete. Where can humanity and Divinity meet today? It is not a place anymore it is a Person. Jesus the Christ. He is the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. There is no more work to be done. Jesus paid for it all at the cross when He said; “It is finished.” We have been bought with a great price. The new covenant is our reality now. Jesus is the new covenant. The old covenant was restrictive because:1. Worship of God was limited2. All of the Old Testament sacrifices never satisfied the full payment of sin3. At best it was temporary4. The heart of the problem is our heartsDo not let religious man made laws and rituals block you from Jesus.Accept today God’s free gift of salvation. • Episode 151: Hebrews 8 "I WILL vs you shall"

    28/02/2021 Duração: 49min

New Covenant versus Old Covenant.Covenant: An agreement between 2 parties.OLD COVENANT: Was the agreement God made with the nation of Israel in the book of Exodus. Obey God’s laws to live. If you shall then I will. 10 commandments then grew to 613 laws. Laws of rules and standards, creating hypocrisy and numbness.NEW COVENANT: Was needed because the law will never change us from the inside out. The New Covenant is:1. Based on what God says “I will do” not what you say you will do.2. Because we are now led from within. Being changed on the inside.3. We now have 24/7 access now to to God with Jesus as our mediator.4. We have forgiveness of our sins. Removed and forgotten as far at the east is from the west and remembered no more. Paid in full from Adam to you today by Jesus. We have been forgiven.Works based religion, an old covenant system, does not work anymore. Jesus came to tear that veil and break the wall of separation. No person can stand anymore between us and Him. It is time to let go of the old and

  • Episode 150: Hebrews 6:13-7 "Jesus, He's Just Better"

    22/02/2021 Duração: 56min

Jesus is the anchor to our soul. He is the old, the current, the new and the forever. So then, today, if He has breathed a new season then follow Him into it. There will be no new normal but there will be a new better. Remember the promise of “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.” Our best days are always ahead of us. Faith and patience in God’s word and promises are better than gold. Key points from today’s message:1. Superiority of Melchizedek over Abraham2. Superiority of Melchizedek over Levi3. Superiority of God’s promises and oath4. Superiority of performance5. Superiority of perfectionAccept today God’s free gift of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. • Episode 149: Hebrews 5:11 - 6:12 "Arrested Development"

    14/02/2021 Duração: 56min

The Hebrews are struggling with their faith. Walking when they should be running. Are you suffering from arrested development in your faith? Have you reached a plateau? Let’s be honest and take inventory. We have been Christians long enough and should be much further in our walk. It is time to rise up from spiritual immaturity. As a child we needed milk. 10 years later, 20 years later, a milk only diet is no longer nutritious for growth. Once the foundation is built, there comes a time for the builders to begin the building of the structure. Let us not be white washed tombs. In some capacity, we should now all be teachers. God is calling us into deeper waters and it is time to move out of the shallow end.Action Change Items:1. Repentance of dead works to faith in God2. Don’t be dull of hearing, living on milk alone3. Wade into the deeper waters where He is calling you4. There is no peace or joy on a prodigal course5. Don’t play around with the things of God6. Deny ourselves and pick up our cross dailyLet God
