Jonah 1:1-3 answers the question: What happens when we run from God's plan? We end up hurting ourselves and others, but God's gracious pursuit is greater than our wandering.

What does 1 Timothy 6:17-19 say about God's Plan for my life? God has given us everything we need and fulfills all of our desires in Himself allowing us to be generous with our wealth.

As we answer "what is God's will for my life?" we looked at 1 Timothy 4:3 to discover that Jesus desires for us to belong to Him, be holy and live in purity.

We don't need to guess God's will for us. As long as we love and seek Him, we don't need to worry about messing up His plan for our lives.

Our last message in the summer series covers how the trials we face increase our faith in the promises of Jesus to restore this world.

Happy are those who walk into tense situations to create peace and reconciliation.

Happy are the pure in heart: The Christian life isn't about being perfect, but about continually desiring Jesus and setting our eyes on Him.

Happy are the merciful: Jesus is our example who gives us mercy so we can show mercy to others.

Just as there is a difference between loving coffee for coffee and loving drinking coffee only for the caffeine, there’s a difference between hungering for God for Him and only wanting what He can give us.

Part 2: The beatitudes show us how we can inherit the earth and get everything we truly want.

Part 1, Blessed are the poor in spirit: When we realize that we have nothing to give Jesus, that's when He shows up with His everything for us.

If a monkey finds something it likes, it will hold onto to it even if that means risking its life. Humans have a similar tendency, but Jesus helps us let go of what’s harming us so that we can grab onto something better.
