John will be at The Muny in St.Louis this Summer playing Hysterium in "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" July 5-11, 2017.

Deborah Sharn talks with Jack Lane, Executive Producer for Stages St. Louis about the 31st season. Deborah and Jack also talked about the Stages' performing arts academy, the new performing arts center in Kirkwood and shows on which Jack Lane was a producer. Stages 31st season includes, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "9 to 5 The Musical", South Pacific" and "Suessical The Musical".

Deborah Sharn talks with Denny Reagan, president and CEO of The Muny about their 99th season in St. Louis. The Muny opens June 12th with JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR followed by THE LITTLE MERMAID, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, ALL SHOOK UP, THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, A CHORUS LINE and NEWSIES.

Deborah Sharn talks with Director, Patrick Siler about Upstream Theatre’s next production, “A Human Being Died That Night”, based on the bestselling book by South African psychologist Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela.  Patrick and Deborah talk about the play which are interviews conducted by Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela with Eugene de Kock, a South African government sanction political assassin, nick-named “prime Evil” for his crimes against anti-apartheid activists.  The play explores forgiveness in this country that has suffered such tragedy.

Deborah Sharn spoke with Carrie Houk, Executive Artistic Director for the 2017 Tennessee Williams Festival that takes place May 3 through 7 in venues across the Grand Center Theatre District in St. Louis. The Festival includes several theatre productions, cabaret, readings, family photos, a bus tour to several Tennessee Williams homes, a New Orleans style jazz brunch and much more.

Deborah Sharn talks with actress/director Linda Kennedy who is directing Upstream Theater’s first show of their 12th season, SUSPENDED in St. Louis. This is the world premiere of  SUSPENDED written by Israeli playwright Maya Arad Yasur. This tightly paced drama shows two refugees washing windows of a skyscraper in a western city, suspended between a world they can see but cannot join, between a past scarred by violence and an uncertain future. SUSPENDED opens in St. Louis October 7th and runs through October 23rd at the Kranzberg Arts Center.
