Ears 2 Hear

There are 'midnight' seasons in the Believer's Spiritual Journey where things become very wearisome. In His discourse on prayer, Jesus tells us in Luke 11:1-13 that it 'midnight' times like this that we need to persist and insist of our Heavenly Father to give us three loaves of bread for our brothers and sisters on this journey (Luke 11:1-13). In 3 John 2, John tells us that God wants us to 'prosper'. In both the New Testament Greek and the Old Testament Hebrew words for 'prosper,' the idea of a 'journey' is implied. In other words, God concept of prosperity is not how much we can sit on, but the distance we can go in the Journey He has designed for us!

The Event --- The Importance of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit for our lives. (1) 'Something's Coming!' -- Old Testament Expectancy (1 Peter 1:8-12; Jer 31:31-33; Ezek 36:26-27; 47:1-12); (2) 'SomeONE's Coming!' -- Jesus' announcement of the Coming of the Holy Spirit (John 1:33; John 7:2-8,37-39; Mat 13:33; Acts 1:5-8); (3) 'This is That!' -- The Event of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4,16-18; 8:12-17; 10:44-48; 19:1-6); (4) 'All That is for This!' -- The whole purpose of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is to prepare us for eternity (1 Cor 2:9-12; Rev 19:6-8; 21:1-2,9-11; 22:17).

A Study into the Work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Seeing this from the perspective of Israel's journey from Egypt to Canaan - a 'type' of the Christian's Spiritual Journey and Mount Sinai as a 'Type' and 'Shadow' of Pentecost and the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
