In September of 2014, I finally met Jeff Jawer in person.  I was immediately struck by his warmth and magnanimity.  He was such a kind and gentle soul.  I suggested that we get together and talk for my show.  After the conference had passed, I heard from Jeff saying he'd like to have a conversation about astrology.  I arranged for him to be the first guest on my TV show premiere.  We connected via Skype which you can see at www.turningofthewheel.tv.  I had a great time speaking with him.  The TV version is a little choppy, but that's Skype, not Jeff.  Days passed and I heard in March that he was in hospice.  I had no idea at the time that we spoke that he was so close to his final chapter.  I was completely shocked to learn of his untimely passing.  No one would know that he was ill and yet he never let on.  I wrestled with the idea of airing this interview out of respect to his family.  I ran the idea past several other astrologers and his wife and children and they thought I should air it.  So here it is in

In this segment, astrologers Chris Flisher and Dietrech Pessin discuss what it feels like to be a cardinal sign from a first-hand viewpoint.  The cardinal signs are : Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.  Since we are immersed in a very cardinal period in astrology, this topic is especially relevant.  Since 2012 onward the major cardinal axis of the zodiac has been triggered by a number of significant planets moving through those signs.  This is indicative of major new initiatives and starts.  Since Chris is an Aries and Dietrech is a Libra, these times are rich with experience and insight.  The outer planets move slowly and change is gradual, but profound, nonetheless.  Listen and see if you can relate to what this energy feels like.

The Yod is fairly obscure aspect in astrology.  It is comprised of two planets that are in sextile aspect (60 degrees) and then linked back to a center point of a third planet at 150 degrees also known as the quincunx.  The point of the yod is often referred to as the "finger of god."  This aspect can be quite a powerful indicator for the indiviual with this aspect in their horsocope chart.  It represents a challenge to be met and bettered through the course of one's life.  When one understands the attributes of such a point, they are better prepared to face the challenges inherent in such an aspect.  Chris Flisher speaks with fellow astrologer Maurice Fernandez on this intriguing topic.
