Why do people have road rage? What does childhood abuse look like in adulthood? How does a PTSD victim describe what is going on inside of them? What is the human element that would turn a trauma into a life experience? My name is Lady and I have been diagnosed PTSD. I had a flashback in 2003 of a violent military rape that I had suppressed for over 40 years. I was also sexually abused as a child. Counseling for over 40 years, I never dreamed I would have to walk the same path I led my clients on. If I could have had something in my hand to act as a lifeline, it would have gone a long way toward giving me hope. My strength, my therapist and my friends were what helped me to go back to the original pain and connect the dots in my life to the present. To have a lifeline for others is the reason I wrote about the pain of my dysfunctional life. "My Journey to Peac

Viral Change: Alternative to unsuccessful management
19/10/2007 Duração: 38minMost of conventional change management programmes fail. One of the reasons is that these conventional approaches are mainly focused on changes in processes and systems, with the assumption that these will lead to change in people s behaviors. However, this assumption is wrong: people often continue to do things like before or, after an initial peak of so-called adoption , initiatives fade. The author states that there is no lasting change unless it is true behavioral change and this is hardly a by-product of new processes . In other words, it is not until people in organizations change behaviors that we can claim that actual change has occurred.

Former State Senator Stephen Wiley Talks About his Poetry
28/09/2007 Duração: 33minLike the mockingbird, poet Stephen B. Wiley tells of what he has learned in a full and generous life. His "repertoire" is wide and varied - inspired by the places and people he has loved, the small pleasures of nature, the joys and sorrows that visit us all and the stories of those he has met along the way in a life that has spanned more than three-quarters of a century. As he did in Hero Island, his first acclaimed collection of poems, Wiley shows us the world we live in and the simple acts of living with a fresh and observant eye. Come with him to watch the circles that ripple on Foote's Pond or gaze in awe at the cherry tree, as magnificent as a Botticelli, when it comes into full bloom. Or share his bemusement as he contemplates the design and functioning of his elbows.

For instance, Ms. Feld’s horse Blackjack, a showy English Pleasure horse, stumbles over the smallest of jumps. In the book Rusty, the main character Heather tries to teach her beloved Blackjack to jump, but like the real Blackjack, he is unable to get his feet over the tiny ground poles.
