Jesus said in John 3:19-20 that men loved their sin more than God. That people stayed away from God because they didn’t want their evil deeds exposed. These warnings are still present today. In todays episode, I look at two recent events that happened in the world, and show how they relate to the words of Jesus. Keep praying and sharing Jesus with those around you.

The end of Luke 18:8 says, “Nevertheless when the Son of Man come the, shall he find faith on the earth?” We look at Luke 18:1-26 and talk about faith. How can you make sure you have the faith that Jesus is looking for.

John 6 is a chapter of hard teachings by Jesus. How do you handle hard teaching in the Bible. In this chapter, people quite following Jesus because the teachings were too hard for them to comprehend. When hard teachings come (and they will), that is not the time to abandon your faith. It’s time to dig in, pray and seek the answers you are looking for.

In Jeremiah 2, God is talking about the faithlessness of Israel. He is asking Israel why they have turned their back on God, and chased after things that are worthless. Here we are, thousands of years later, and people are still turning their back on God. Have you?

The religious leaders failed to recognize Jesus as the Messiah for a variety of reasons. One of which is because they focused on their man made laws and traditions instead of seeing the miracles that Jesus did. Don’t become a Pharisee.

In Mark chapters 1 and 2, we see the calling of the first disciples by Jesus. He simply said “Follow Me” and they left all and followed Him. What keeps us from leaving everything to follow Him?

A man, sick with a disease, surrounded himself with friends that would stop at nothing to get their friend healed. We need to imitate this example.

We can learn some valuable things from a man sick with leprosy. Today, we are looking at Mark 1:40-45, and Jesus’ healing of a leper.

One thing we see throughout the Gospels is that Jesus took time to be alone with the Father in prayer. Jesus spent countless hours ministering to the people in Israel, but He also always took time for prayer. By spending time in prayer, we not only draw close to God, but we have an understanding of our calling. When was the last time you prayed?

Mark 1:29-34, we see Jesus entering the house of Simon, and finding our his mother in law is sick in bed. Jesus heals her sickness, and immediately she serves them. Later, all the town brings those that are sick and demon possessed to Jesus for healing. It may be your prayer that brings healing to your loved one. Who do you need to pray for today?

People were amazed at the teaching of Jesus, the authority of Jesus & the power of Jesus. Jesus did and said things they’d never heard before. What if we followed in His footsteps and did things that people today had never seen or heard?

Jesus heals a demon possessed man in Mark 1:23-26, Yet, we can learn more about Jesus through His interaction with the demon possessing this man. Is belief enough? Well, even the devils believe, and look where it got them.

Jesus entered the synagogue and taught as one who had authority is what we read in Mark 1:21-22z and the people were astonished because He taught better than the scribes the people were used to. Why is that? Because Jesus knew the Scriptures and knew the message God had given Him. We need to follow the leading of God when we tell others about Jesus. If God calls you to share your faith with someone, then God will give you the words to say. Your part is to be obedient.

The verses we look at in this episode all have one thing in common- your obedience matters. God wants your obedience. God wants you to trust Him.
