It appears that the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama wants control of the local school systems.   Whats up with that? Where was the Chamber when the system was struggling, the City System in particular? 

Alabama posted its list of failing schools - I will highlight some interesting findings surrounding this list.  Join me.  OH, is anyone surprised that this list is comprised of High poverty and high minority (Black)

Tuscaloosa County Board of Education continues to build schools, but not in Holt, Alabama.   Holt High School was constructed in 1944. "...Board member Joe Boteler, who has advocated building a new Holt High, said the reason Holt has been neglected for decades is that no one has fought for it. “Holt just doesn't have any representation,” he said."  (Tuscaloosa News December 11, 2012). Lets give Holt the representation it deserves...
