  • The Real Thing | Sunday Message (with Pastor Jonathan Laurie)

    13/03/2022 Duração: 47min

Having a community of believers to surround you will support you in your walk and give you the opportunity to support others as well. In a special Sunday episode, Pastor Jonathan Laurie gives us a model of what a gospel partnership really looks like. Notes Priscilla and Aquila were ordinary people who made a profound impact. To be “Corinthianized” meant to be morally corrupt to the extreme. Priscilla and Aquila were missionaries, evangelists, teachers, and friends to the church. Priscilla and Aquila built their life upon the rock-solid foundation of Jesus Christ. Hope comes from being in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Priscilla and Aquila had spiritual community. Don’t underestimate just how much Christian fellowship through a small group, “koinonia,” can change your life. Salvation comes by faith in what Christ did on the cross. “The path to public success is always paved with private discipline.” —Craig Groeschel A fake salvation, a fake faith, a fake relat

  • Classic Interview | Finding My Identity: An Conversation with Austin Carlile

    12/03/2022 Duração: 23min

Pastor Greg Laurie sits down with Austin Carlile, former vocalist from Of Mice & Men about his journey to faith. Austin recounts the years he spent running away from God and how he came into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Although he was raised by Christian parents, Austin Carlile grew angry with God after his mother’s death and pursued satisfaction in a music career. Having spent years in the band Of Mice & Men, Austin Carlile had it all: money, fame, and a fast lifestyle. He performed alongside Kanye West, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, and others, but inside he had a hole in his heart that only God could fill. Diagnosed with Marfan syndrome and undergoing many surgeries, Austin had to turn to the one person who could save him: Jesus Christ.  God had a plan for Austin's life, and He has a plan for your life. • The Race We Must Win | Running With Endurance

    10/03/2022 Duração: 25min

As a rule, people don’t walk much anymore. Oh, some might do a couple of miles on the treadmill at the gym, but they drove three laps around the parking lot to get the closest parking space. In biblical times, everybody walked . . . a lot! And running? Well, that was the speeding they did when they were late for work. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out how Paul the Apostle offers counsel on how we can run the race of life with endurance, and how we can run to win. • We Can Work it Out | One on One

    07/03/2022 Duração: 25min

Some people say “absence makes the heart grow fonder.” Others say “out of sight, out of mind.” The truth is, any relationship requires connection. What do we say about friends who’ve drifted completely out of our lives? “Oh, so-and-so is someone I used to know.” The same dynamic applies to our relationship with God. It’s a connection that needs to be maintained. And today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out that connection is one of the keys to finding real happiness in life. • How to Reach Our Culture with the Gospel | Sunday Message

    06/03/2022 Duração: 42min

These days, many people claim to be spiritual but not “religious.” In this Sunday episode, Pastor Greg Laurie shares why an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ is better than mere religion. Listen in! Notes As Christians, we have all been called to share the gospel. We live in a unique time in American history. The days of “cultural Christianity” are largely over. Epicureans believed in the pursuit of pleasure. Stoics believed that “God was in all things.” Effective communication begins with a burden. Sinners are not the enemy, sin is. Effective communication should be culturally relevant. Paul’s message arrested the interest of his listeners. Effective communication should build a bridge not burn one. We must preach a biblical message.  Our message must focus on Jesus, crucified and risen!   Paul trusted God for the results.   People reacted differently to Paul’s message:  Some mocked  Some delayed  Some believed&nbs

  • Classic Crusade: Hope for Hurting Hearts

    05/03/2022 Duração: 25min

In this classic message given at a SoCal Harvest event, Pastor Greg Laurie offers hope from the Gospel of John. How can we have hope when we’re faced with disappointment and tragedy? We only find hope in a relationship with Jesus.  In John 14:1, Jesus said to His disciples, “Let not your heart be troubled.” Pastor Greg reminds us that these words remain true for us today. In Christ, we have the comfort and assurance that we will spend eternity in Heaven.  He says, “Only the person who has put their faith in Christ as Savior and Lord has the assurance they will go to Heaven.” Learn more about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by going to KnowGod.org. “Hope for Hurting Hearts” was originally delivered on the night of August 8, 2010 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. • Upside-Down Living | Where Happiness Is Found

    04/03/2022 Duração: 25min

Celebrity marriages are twice as likely to end in divorce. The reason? Research shows the stars experience more pain and suffering than the rest of us. So you have people who are wealthy, famous, attractive, powerful – everything the world says is supposed to make one happy – and they’re miserable. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out why. When we look to the world’s prescription for happiness, we get just the opposite. We’ll instead look to God’s Word. 03/03/2022 Duração: 25min

Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out the Lord’s plan for fulfillment. It doesn’t come from focusing on our own needs, it comes from focusing on what we can do for others. • What Do You Live For? | True Satisfaction

    28/02/2022 Duração: 26min

So many people post pictures of their food on social media. And admittedly, a lot of it looks really good. But have you noticed the food that’s to die for is also the food you can die from? Isn’t that true? And in the bigger picture, that’s the way sin is. Sin first says “live it up” . . . then says, “you’ll never live that down.” Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out where we can find real satisfaction in life. • Are Russia and Ukraine in Bible Prophecy?

    26/02/2022 Duração: 04min

During these events in Ukraine, many people are asking whether this crisis has anything to do with Bible prophecy. Pastor Greg Laurie gives his answer: We’re all aware of what’s happening over in the Ukraine right now. They’re under attack from Russia, and people have asked the question, “Is there any significance to all of this prophetically?” Let me pull the camera back and say this: I believe we’re living in the last days. I believe Christ could come back at any moment. There are signs of the times the Bible tells us to be looking for. And in fact, Jesus likened it to labor pains in a woman who’s ready to give birth, the idea being the closer they get together, the closer you are to the birth. And as we see more signs—more things happening—they’re reminding us Christ is coming back again. Read more at harvest.org. --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest.org.
