I decided to go ahead and upgrade to a Directv HD DVR. I thought it would be easy to install the new hardware myself. It would have been if the first installer had done what he said he'd do to make connecting the new DVR easier. The Charter installer came this morning to install the telephone I do not need but decided to buy in a combo package to lower my Charter bill.
