Faith seems so simple and so complicated all at the same time. What is faith? Do I really have any? Is my faith strong enough to please God? How does it grow? Can I hear the word “faith” without singing that George Michael song from the 80s? This January, Momentum is exploring these questions with anyone else who is asking them.

It’s a new year, and we’re hoping that the people of Greater Cleveland will “wreck the roof*” in 2010. What does that mean? You’ll see… * Rest assured, this has nothing to do with “raise the roof” in any way. We’re better than that.

We all have gifts and abilities that we love to use, but every once and a while we all want to try something new. The problem is sometimes we can get in over our head and rather than stick it out to see what happens we decide maybe its better to cut our losses and get out of there.

Momentum will celebrate the holiday and worship God in our usual way: great storytelling, rockin’ Christmas music, live art, and lots of humor. Come hear the story of Jesus’ birth and how that day changed the world.

Well, there are three totally legitimate anxieties that have haunted mankind throughout the ages. (No, they don’t have anything to do with the Browns, Cavs, or Indians, but that was a good guess.) We fear these things because they are extremely real, and if we don’t face them – they will completely and utterly destroy us. On a brighter note, God tells us that he is the only being in the universe who can scare these ghosts away…

Jesus had a very clear mission when he came to earth. He even tipped his hand a few times and told his friends what some of his personal mission statements were. In fact, he was so laser-focused on his assignment that it rubbed off on his followers…and changed the world forever. Were you also placed here for a reason? How would your life be different if you knew beyond the shadow of a doubt what God’s purpose for your life was? If you knew why you were here, two things would be certain: 1. You would have an amazing amount of peace in your life. 2. You would be driven.
