A massive manhunt is underway in Victoria after two police officers were shot dead and another was injured during a search warrant. The suspect, 56-year-old Dezi Freeman, is believed to hold views aligned with the “sovereign citizens” movement, which rejects government authority. पुणे के इंजीनियर चेतन परदेसी महाराष्ट्र के गाँवों में सरकारी जिला परिषद् स्कूलों में मोबाइल लाइब्रेरी स्थापित कर रहे हैं। इन लाइब्रेरी में वे बच्चों को कॉमिक्स की किताबें उपलब्ध कराते हैं। ये कॉमिक्स अंग्रेज़ी भाषा में होती हैं, जो बच्चों को मनोरंजन के साथ-साथ अंग्रेज़ी पढ़ने, सीखने और बोलने में मदद करती हैं। अब तक वे ऐसी 150 लाइब्रेरी स्थापित कर चुके हैं। कॉमिक्स के ज़रिए खेल-खेल में ग्रामीण बच्चों के लिए अंग्रेज़ी सीखना चेतन ने सचमुच आसान बना दिया है। इसके अलावा, वे विभिन्न प्रोफेशनल्स से ग्रामीण बच्चों का संपर्क कराते हैं ताकि उन्हें उचित मार्गदर्शन भी मिलता रहे।
