Victoria launches new multicultural body to tackle emerging needs of diverse communities

Premier Jacinta Allan said the move reflects her vision of creating a “united Victoria.” The new body will be headed by a Coordinator General, supported by two deputies, including one based in regional Victoria, and guided by a five-member advisory council. The announcement follows the state’s multicultural review, led by George Lekakis AO, which gathered input from more than 640 Victorians through 57 consultation sessions.
