This week on PodQuest we talk about Nintendo's reveal of the Switch OLED model, the co-op game heist Operation Tango, and finally dive into our first Book Club movie, Terminator Dark Fate. On this episode of PodQuest, I talk with current Conan the Barbarian writer Jim Zub. We discuss the comic making process, while digging into Jim's work on Conan, Avengers, Dungeons and Dragons, and his creator owned books like Wayward. Jim also talks about what it's like co-writing books including Avengers No Surrender and Avengers No Road Home, and how getting to write a book like Conan The Barbarian happened for him.

We also discuss the 1979 film Alien, and our which game mechanics we'd be OK with never seeing again.

We're back with part two of our E3 2021 coverage! This time we're talking about the small showing from Capcom, followed by Nintendo's annual E3 Direct, and we wrap things up talking about the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins demo. Some of the bigger game discussions include The Great Ace Attorney, Metroid Dread, and Breath of the Wild 2.

It's E3 time again, after a year off in 2020 amid the pandemic, the Electronic Entertainment Experience (Usually Expo) has taking things virtual this year. Rather than the games industry descending onto the LA Convention Center and surrounding area, everything is online this year. It is certainly a strange time, but publishers are finding ways to still run their usually stage presentations as virtual events. On this episode of PodQuest, we're talking through Microsoft/Bethesda Showcase, Ubisoft Forward, and the Square Enix Summer Showcase.

This week on PodQuest we're talking about The Conjuring The Devil Made Me Do it, Drootin watched Terminator 1 and 2 which developed into a discussion about the various iterations, and Chris poses a question about Cross Generation games. We also talked a bit about the Critical Role finale, how Kim's convenience wrapped up, and our expectations and hopes for this years E3. Don't forget our first "Book Club" will be the first week of July and we're watching Terminator Dark Fate.

This week on PodQuest we announce a new segment, a (mostly) monthly Book Club - but for movies and tv too not really too many books! We're gonna come up with a better name, but for the first one we'll be watching Terminator Dark Fate on Hulu. Beyond that we discuss the Scarlet Nexus demo on PS4/PS5, delve into some of our most disappointing games, and Chris started watching Gundam 00. We also hear Richie's thoughts on the "end" of Monster Hunter Rise, and Drootin finished watching Hannibal.

On this week's episode of PodQuest we open things up and talk about making some changes to the show going forward. We follow that talk up with conversations about Critical Roll, Army of the Dead, No Man's Sky, Monster Hunter's event, Microsoft's plans for E3 with Bethesda, and the final installment of Weekly Kaiju (for now...). We also had a storm going on so there may be some weird blips!

Then we discuss the released details on CD Projekt Red's corporate bonus structure, and how much their top brass makes. Chris has been playing New Pokemon Snap. We also talk a little about Invincible, Shadow and Bone, the MCU phase 4 lineup, and two fan favorite characters leaving CW's The Flash.

We also run down the announcements from the Resident Evil Showcase and discuss last week's Playstation Exclusive 30 minute Resident Evil VIII Demo. There are also more rumors of a remake for 2003's Knights of the Old Republic, cast changes on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Nickelodeon's history, and Godzilla vs a bunch of monsters including Mothra!

This week on PodQuest we talk about Nintendo's latest Indie World Showcase, the first big patch for the PS5 as well as some Sony mistakes, and Nic Cage's latest film Willy's Wonderland. We also dive into Pac-Man 99, more Outriders, Smallville and more!

This week we talk about the wild and crazy news that Playstation's MLB The Show 21 is not only releasing on Xbox but will be launching on Game Pass when the game releases later this month. We also hear Richie's thoughts on Outriders, Chris sat down and watched Tenet, and Drootin checked out the Next Gen upgrade for Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2. As always there's plenty more too!

Bit of a lighter episode this week on PodQuest. We're talking about the official announcement that Sony will be closing the Playstation Vita store in August as well as the PS3 and PSP stores in July. We also discuss Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, Pacific Rim: The Black, Jade Raymond's new independent studio, Sony adding more games to Play at Home, and of course this week's Kaiju film, the 1998 American made Godzilla staring Matthew Broderick.
