Unless the Lord Builds the House, Psalm 127
02/09/2012 Duração: 44min"In the Psalms one looks into the hearts of all the saints." - LutherKnowing others have experienced life in ways similar to us can be extremely comforting. Thank God for the Psalms. In them we encounter joys, sorrows, victories and failures just like our own. And yet the Psalms do something more as well. Not only do they connect us on a human level to those who've gone before us, they also bring us into deeper connection with God. The Psalmists are masters at envisioning their life circumstances in the larger framework of God's redemptive work in the world. As a result, in them we find not only the empathy we crave but also the hope we didn't know existed. Join us this summer as we explore the transformative and hopeful riches of the Psalms in our sermons series "The Opened Soul."
