Jeremy and Matt are back to preview Week 11 of Mountain West football. For starters, the Air Force vs. Wyoming game has unfortunately been canceled. They start with the Thursday night game between Colorado State and Boise State which has uncertainty with who is going to play quarterback and other positions for the Broncos as they are suffering injuries. Then on Saturday Hawaii travels to San Diego State for a key game that could solidify the pecking order for the race for the Mountain West title game. Fresno State travels to take on Utah State which has an interim coach and things could get dicey in this game. Nevada is looking to extend its winning streak behind QB Carson Strong who is playing as one of the best players at his position in the country. Jeremy and Matt are back to preview Week 9 of the Mountain West football which includes the first of the weekly Thursday and Friday games going forward. Colorado State and New Mexico take to the field for the first time after their game last week was canceled, and the Lobos had to go on the road to face San Jose State due to COVID-19 restrictions in the state of New Mexico. One interesting note about this game is that every team that was on the road was a favorite but that changed with the Spartans now hosting the Lobos, but regardless it is still an interesting note. A few things to watch are who will Colorado State and UNLV play at quarterback, can Hawaii win for the first time since 1991 at Wyoming, and will Air Force be at full strength on the offensive line. Jeremy and Matt are back to recap the first weekend of Mountain West football play that happened during Week 8. There were some interesting games this weekend and it was just fun to have Mountain West football back in action. The biggest surprise was San Jose State holding court against Air Force's rushing offense that was stopped by the Spartans. Nevada vs. Wyoming was arguably the best game of the weekend, Fresno State's passing offense was not as bad as it seemed, San Diego State and Boise State looked very dominant in their wins. Jeremy and Andy are back to preview more of the college basketball season by chatting about Fresno State and Colorado State. The Bulldogs are at an interesting point as Justin Hutson enters his third year as head coach. His first year was great but last season saw a big drop off, and the talent this year is nit great outside of the exceptional Orlando Robinson. As for the Rams, they did lose Nico Carvacho but the talent via transfer, freshman and young talent has Colorado State on the rise. The only problem is that the team is a year away. Jeremy and Matt are back to preview the 2020 San Diego State Football team. The Aztecs are one of many teams in the league with a new head coach in Brady Hoke, who is being promoted from within after Rocky Long stepped down. The big questions for San Diego State's offense is finding a new starting quarterback and what running back will step up. There are options at both positions and players with experience but who will rise to the challenge is the question. The Aztecs defense has the chance to be real special, especially those at the defensive line position. There is talent lost at the linebacker and the cornerback positions, but the safeties are bringing nearly everyone back and should also be a force. Overall, the schedule plays out with a lot of winnable games but there are many that could go either way. Jeremy and Matt are back to preview the 2020 Fresno State football season. The Bulldogs have a new head coach in Kalen DeBoer but he is no stranger to Fresno State fans as he was the offensive coordinator during the 2018-19 seasons which saw Fresno State go to a pair of Mountain West title games. The offense will have a new quarterback which should be better than last year in the race to replace Jorge Renya and it should be an upgrade for whoever gets the job. The running back group is deep with Ronnie Rivers and the return of Jordan Mimms from injury. The wide out group is deep but an emerging star is still up in the air. Jeremy and Matt are back to preview the first Mountain West game of the year which is Air Force vs. Navy on Saturday, Oct. 3, and a full three weeks before the Mountain West begins its play. We breakdown this game which is quite interesting since there are about 30 players from the Falcons that are taking "turn backs" which means they will not be enrolled this season in able to play in 2021. The majority of those are on defense which already was young and all five expected five starters. Also, the quarterback situation is not good with Donald Hammond III not playing and the two in consideration have basically no experience. The good part for Air Force is that Navy is not really good this year and their rushing attack is not what it usually is and is underperforming and that gives Air Force a chance to win. Jeremy and Matt are back to chat about how the Mountain West made the announcement that college football is back and the league will play an eight-game schedule starting on Oct. 24. There are a lot of unknowns like what will the schedule look like over the eight games and when it will be announced. Air Force is going to play Army and Navy which is leading to the real possibility of Boise State playing BYU in early November. Commissioner Craig Thompson said that he expects games to be missed and that the conference could do away with divisions and have the best two teams by winning percentage play for the title. Matt and Jeremy are back to discuss the latest in Mountain West football and that includes Air Force officially scheduling a game against Navy, San Diego State relocating for one, maybe two seasons over 100 miles away, and the Mountain West possibly starting up football this fall on Oct. 24. There are a lot of questions as to what changed the league's mind this week to possibly start playing in a month.
