God is in control and we use every circumstance for His purposes. We can have peace in that, and joy at the movement of the gospel.

The eternal Son became flesh and entered into the whole of human existence and experience and retains and bears His humanity forever. 

What were God's people expecting in the coming Messiah?    They were anticipating the King who would be victorious over Satan and set up a righteous Kingdom. Jesus did both, the second will be fully realized later.
